Education & Stewardship

Rivers remain beautiful, sacred places because of the people who choose to care for them, and that includes you.

That care begins with mindfulness at camp, pack-it-out practices, and an understanding that our human presence has real effects on the water and wildlife around us. As we travel through Wild and Scenic River corridors, we treat these rivers with the respect they deserve and with an awareness of why they hold that designation.

It also means honoring Indigenous cultural and archaeological sites, recognizing that these places hold deep history and cultural and spiritual significance. Staying connected to the organizations and people working to keep these rivers healthy, respected, and accessible is essential for us and for generations to come.
